Planet One World is an Agroecological Farm (34 ha) in the tropical rainforest of the southeastern Caribbean side of Costa Rica only 2 miles away from the most beautiful beaches. On our farm we are working with organic permacultural planting tequnices and through using sustainable intallations we try to be as much self-sustainable and carbon neural as possible. Two years ago the private Los Guardianes Wildlife Refuge (540 ha) was founded by seven private landowners which joined forces.
Our mission is to protect the overwhelming biodiversity and through following our vision, we try to educate people on different sustainable living techniques and coexisting with nature as well as preserving it. As the BriBri Culture has incorporated these values into their daily living we deeply cooperate and support their communities. Every activity we do with you as volunteer or group member incorporates the educational approach which is going hand in hand with goal 13 of the global goals for sustainable development of the United Nations.
Imagine visiting native indigenous villages, learning about ethnobotanical medicine, shamanism, different scientific, social and ecologic projects. Be a wildlife refuge ranger and learn everything about (healing) plants and animals of the Caribbean rainforest. Explore hidden waterfalls as a volunteer in the BriBri reserve and get your weekly dose of adrenaline doing rafting or kayaking in the jungle rivers of Costa Rica! As a volunteer of Planet One World you will learn Spanish while doing all of that in the world´s most diverse and beautiful environments bordered only by the highest biodiversity of rainforests and coral reefs and the most beautiful beaches of the Caribbean part of Costa Rica!
